OUTRGS is taking you on a bike ride
OUTRGS did a bike ride for you guys to explore the beautiful nature in The Netherlands (Amsterdamse Waterduinen and De Kagerplassen) and show you the perfect places for a quick stop to enjoy your "Coffee to Go".
We started at "Bij Benjamin" because without coffee we don't come far:-) Once you are here, take a moment on the boat dock and enjoy the nice view over the lake "Kaag". After this we took the little ferry to the main land and we started our tour from point 25 on the map above.
Then we took our bikes again and we set off to Warmond, an authentic little village just above lake "Kaag" were we stopped again at "De Oude School" for a nice "Sandwich to Go".
From there we went to the famous flower region with its capital "Lisse" a village located in the heart of the bulb fields and where the famous flower garden "Keukenhof" is located, definitely worthwhile visiting! Check out our Maishima shirt, which was inspired by the beautiful Maishima Seaside Park in Japan.......next time we will be inspired closer to our home:-) After all those flowers we stopped at "Tussen Station" for some beverages and preparing our selves to enter the dunes area.
We took the bikes again and headed off to Zandvoort, to see the beach. Going through the dunes this trip is fantastic! Beautiful nature and if you are lucky, and we were, you can see a lot of deer walking around in the dunes! Once arrived in Zandvoort we really needed a break at beachbar "Tijn Akersloot".
Refueled again we gained some energy to hit the dunes again heading to Vogelenzang, a small village just outside the dunes area. Because of the hills (The Netherlands is flat like a pancake) we were happy to sit down again at "Leyduin" for a short break. Leyduin is located in the inner dune edge. The estate has been in the hands for a long time by a Dutch family and has played an important role in the water supply of Amsterdam. Now it is a forest with walking and cycling routes.
Our final stop is in Noordwijkerhout, also a famous village among tourist for camping and outdoor activities in the dunes. A small lake called "Comomeer" located in the dunes is a famous spot for outdoor activities or enjoying the relaxing ambient of the lake itself. That is what we did after this nice trip by bike, we sat down at "Como & Co" took some drinks and small bites and looked back to a beautiful day by bike.
If you want to catch a glamp of this outrageous area and cycle this route by yourself, here is the link to the map (in Dutch ony) above which will guide you trough this area:-) Have an OUTRGS day!
